|To create a color and B&W version of a landscape, seascape, or cityscape and compare the merits of each.|
I don't know if you could find a better place to do this assignment. We live in one of the prettiest places in Washington. Pick a subject(seascape, landscape, cityscape). Consider the light as you take your pictures. Light looks different at different times of the day. Do some research about the golden hour. After you identify the image that you like, make a color and B&W version of it. You need to put a dark vignette on both. It can be subtle, but it needs to be there.
To clarify: both images are of the same scene, one is black and white and one is color, they both have the same vignette on them. Make the black and white version in Photoshop.
|2- 5 x 7 or 8 x 10 horizontal or verticle native resolution psd files. One color and one B&W. Name them, color.psd, and B&W.psd. Place jpg versions on your Weebly page.|
Your assignment will be graded using these criteria:
From Mr. P's Photo Rubric
Computer Techniques: Is the image sharp/in focus? Is it resized correctly? Is it color corrected and sharpened?
Presentation: Is the artwork presented in a professional manner as outlined in the assignment?
