ASSIGNMENT: MAGAZINE COVER ASSIGNMENT

covers

 OBJECTIVES:
To create a magazine cover using the information below.
 PROCEDURES:

Use line, shape, text, texture, balance, contrast, unity, color, value and everything else you learned this semester, to create an interesting composition to be used as a magazine cover.

Find a magazine you are interested in. Use all of the text from the cover, but incorporate it into your own design. You can't scan the cover to acquire any of the text or images. You are designing the front of a magazine using one of the photographs you have taken this semester if you are in the photography class, or an image from the internet if you are in the graphic design class.

Use Illustrator for this project.

The photograph should illustrate the subject of the magazine or an article in some way. If the photo illustrates an article, the article title needs to be on the cover.

Like all design projects, it is usually fastest to sketch some ideas first, and then recreate your best idea with the computer.

It should look professional in every respect.Take your time and produce something you can be proud of.
